Set in 40 acres, Woolley Hill Farm is home to Ark on the Edge, an animal sanctuary in Woodland. Ark on the Edge rescues and rehomes domestic animals, as well as wild animals where possible.

Ark on the Edge has been known by its current name since 2000, and has been based at Woolley Hill Farm since 2005.
This years Open Day featured demonstrations from animal handlers, police dogs, dry stone walling the Dog Show – judged by ITV Tyne Tees presenter Philippa Tomson.
