The Brownies from 1st Bishop Middleham have enjoyed a healthy tasting session in St. Helen Auckland.
A group of local Brownies took part in a fresh fruit and vegetable tasting session on Thursday designed to highlight healthy eating.
The youngsters were also given a tour of the supermarket and learned about where their ‘5-a-day’ comes from, and how the colour-coded labelling on food details the calories, fat, sugars and other contents.
“We are currently working towards our ‘Healthy Heart’ badge which relates to the importance of healthy eating and a balanced diet. The Brownies loved the night at Sainsbury’s and the food tasting session was great fun,” explained Vicky Bell.
