Pupils sing at local supermarket

The pupils from St. Helen Auckland Primary School raised £175 at Sainsbury’s in Bishop Auckland.

A Day for Change is an initiative which has seen schools and UNICEF work together for over 20 years, making a change in their day and a donation to UNICEF.

The pupils gathered in the front of the store to sing for customers, whilst others assisted shoppers with their bags.

“We were very grateful to Sainsbury’s and their customers to allow the pupils to come into store and collect this fantastic amount,” said Head Teacher Mrs MacKenzie.
