Preparations are underway for the annual Ferryhill Gala.

Gala returns to Ferryhill

The event takes place on Saturday, 13th and Sunday, 14th of August, and is being organised by the Ferryhill 2000 Committee and Ferryhill Town Council.

On Saturday fair rides, stalls and refreshments will take up Ferryhill Market Place and the Town Hall Gardens. Live stage acts, Ferryhill’s Got Talent and performances by Pats Puppets, Zoolab and a magician will take place on Sunday.

An Art and Photography Exhibition will also take place upstairs at the Town Hall. The exhibition runs from Monday, 1st August to Sunday, 14th August.

Anyone interested in a stall at the event, providing an attraction or taking part in Ferryhill’s Got Talent can contact John Rogerson at the Town Hall on 01740 652157.

Road Closures and Temporary Bus Stops

Market Street and Chapel Terrace will be closed to all vehicles on Sunday, 14th August, from 5am to 7pm.

Temporary bus stops will be erected at Llewellyn’s Wine Bar in Main Street, B&M Store in Market Street and The Workingmen’s Club in North Street.

All vehicles must use North Street whilst the Natwest Car Park and Church Lane will be access only.

Visitors will be welcome to use car parking at the Masonic Hall Car Park, 34 North Street, Ferryhill.
