Horrors of Halloween come to Bishop Auckland

Ghosts will descend on Fore Bondgate

Shoppers in Bishop Auckland can get into the Halloween spirit next weekend as ghosts descend on the town.

The spooky activities, which will be accompanied by scary music, will take place on Fore Bondgate between 11.30am and 3.30pm.

“Our last Halloween event was a big success and this year we’re promising even more fun for all the family,” explained Steve McCormick, Durham County Council town centre manager.

“As well the chance to have a ghostly portrait or have your face-painted there’ll also be creepy music and lots of ghoulish activities.”

The annual celebration in the town will include street entertainment, a face painter and caricaturist.
