The countdown for Wembley started 5 weeks ago with West Auckland Town FC’s victory over Herne Bay in the semi-final of the FA Vase.
With less than a week to go, its time for the players and management to smarten up and look the part of finalists. Luckily, and generously for them, International Waste Metals Ltd. stepped in and supplied everyone with a new suit, shirt and tie for this special occasion.
“In those suits the players look like the rat pack from Las Vegas” says John Cumberland from the suit sponsor. “This is such an important occasion for West Auckland, it’s a privilege to help out in this way.”
It’s been a good season so far with two important games still to play, none bigger than their FA Vase final on Sunday at 3:00 pm, says team manager Peter Dixon.
