Bishop Auckland Railway Station Community Event

Bishop Auckland Railway Station

On Saturday 15th August a Community Event is being held at Bishop Auckland railway station to celebrate the revamped station and also the different groups involved with, or associated with, Bishop Auckland station. This free event is open from 10am until 3pm.
The following groups attending the event:

– Bishop Trains

– Stockton & Darlington Railway Youth Team (recruitment/information stand and also a model railway display)

– Bishop Auckland Station History Group who will also be bringing the NUR Railway banner to the event which will be the first time it has been displayed at the station since 1984

– Weardale Railway to promote their services and the Weardale Railway Trust

– Durham County Council “Local Motion” Travel Rangers will be providing different activities around the station such as the Smoothie Bike and Wattbike

– Durham Constabulary ‘Operation Spoke’ cycle security marking

– The platform mural artists will also be present to talk to visitors about the new art work at the station.

– Vintage bus running town tours from the station

– Auckland Castle promotion stand

– Bishop Line Promotion stand

– Bishop FM: Broadcasting live from the event

– Royal British Legion: Poppy Collection

– Halfords: Bike Maintenance
