The Transit of the Mercury across the Sun

Join Teesdale U3A Astronomy Society for a telescope observation opportunity on the Museum terrace, free of charge. This will be followed at 3.00 by a lecture in the Jubilee Room by Prof Paula Chadwick, who will speak about Mercury’s transit partner – The Active Sun. The cost is £4 adults, £3 concs, £2 for accompanied children aged 12+. Pay on the door of the lecture; entry to the Museum is complimentary in the afternoon for people attending the lecture.
