St John’s College Summer Open Day: Salvador Dali Exhibition

Saturday, 11th June, 2016 - 2:00pm

St John's College, 3 South Bailey, Durham, DH1 3RJ

A unique opportunity to see behind the doors of a historic Bailey University College. Counting the Archbishop of Canterbury, Justin Welby, as a former pupil, St John’s College is home to both Durham University undergraduate students and people training for ordination in the Church of England via Cranmer Hall. Members of the public are invited to join us at this, our first ever Open Day. We will be holding two student-led, free tours of a collection of Salvador Dali lithographs currently on loan to College from the University. Cream teas and Pimms will be available to purchase. The Principal of the College, Rev. Prof. David Wilkinson, who is a regular contributor to BBC Radio 4’s “Thought for the Day” will be in College to welcome visitors. There is no charge for this event but booking is required, please email johns.alumni@durham.ac.uk. Alternatively, visit the “What’s On” section of the Durham University website for more information.
