Waterfall Light Installation
Waterfall Light Installation, Bowlees Visitor Centre, Upper TeesdaleFriday 14, Sat 15, Sun 16, and Fri 21, Sat 22, Sun 23 October 1700-2100 each evening.
Set in the stunning Upper Teesdale countryside in County Durham, Waterfall is a remarkable visual art installation in which the characteristic whitewashed buildings of the Raby Estate and the waterfalls of the Tees and its tributaries combine to create a unique and striking artwork.
High definition footage of the waterfalls of the River Tees – Cauldron Snout, High Force and Low Force will be projected onto all four sides of three whitewashed barns, effectively wrapping them in mesmerising slow motion pulses of water and cascading down the hillside to the east of Bowlees Visitor Centre.
Waterfall is the work of acclaimed North East artist Steve Messam who last year produced PaperBridge a weight bearing paper bridge which was strong enough to hold a car.
