Dr Meghan Leyland will explore the experiences of conscientious objectors during WW1. This talk will uncover some of the very personal and often moving stories of individuals held at Richmond Castle during WW1, whilst placing these stories in the context of local and national events to introduce the wider history of war resistance between 1914 and 1918.
