Bishop Celebrating Together

The Bishop Auckland Town Team in partnership with Durham Markets Company, The Durham Street Food Project and Andrew Corry Blog are holding a special ‘Bishop Celebrating Together’ event on Friday 22nd and Saturday 23rd September.
It all kicks off at 4pm on Friday where there will be a Full Moon Street Food Market along with entertainment and children’s activities.

On Saturday from 10am there will be various market stalls along with lots of entertainment and family activities. The town’s mascot, Bishop The Boar will also be making guest appearances.

There will be live singers throughout the day and performances from the Sandra Welsh School of Dance and Jack Drum Arts.

Inside the Bishop Auckland Town Hall, the annual Horticultural Show organised by the Bishop Auckland Town Council will take place from 12pm till 3pm.

St Anne’s Church will be holding ‘A Hope and A Future’ event as they celebrate with Bishop Auckland’s growers and gardeners the bounty of the earth. With displays, photography by young people, cakes decorated as plants, flowers, fruit and vegetables, prayer stations, music and dance.

Several local businesses around the town centre will be offering special promotions which will only be valid over this weekend.

It’s a celebration event for the town and everyone is invited to be part of it.
