8 RIFLES formation event

Bishop Auckland will welcome a new military unit to the area 8 RIFLES. With the battalion HQ being based in Bishop Auckland they also have a company situated in Durham, Shrewsbury and Pontefract. This is a reserve Battalion and recruiting now. To mark the occasion of the arrival of the new Battalion 8 Rifles will be holding and event in Bishop Auckland Market square on Wednesday 1st Nov 19.30 – 20.45. This will consist of a display from the regiments Ban and Bugles. There will also be information stands. All are welcome to come along and welcome you new regiment to the area.
