To mark Armed Forces Day a special flag raising event will be taking place in the
grounds of Ferryhill Town Hall at 9.45am on Saturday 29th June 2019, which is the
Official Armed Forces Day.
Residents are invited to congregate at 9.30am in the Town Hall gardens ready for a

United Kingdom, Channel Islands and Isle of Man in a universal show of support,
honouring Britain’s Armed Forces past, present and future, and marking a moment in
history that will long be remembered with warmth and pride by the men and women
who make up the Armed Forces.
Following the raising of the Armed Forces Day Flag, tea & coffee will be served in the
Town Hall, and the event will move to the Market Place Car Park where there will be
stalls raising money for Care for Casualties and Ferryhill Remembers, activities by the
Ferryhill Scouts, a climbing wall and bungee trampolines, as well as free face
