The Four Clocks, Newgate Street, Bishop Auckland

In 2025 we will be celebrating the 200th anniversary of the railway across County Durham and the Tees Valley. This talk, by Trish Pemberton, Chair of the Friends of the Stockton and Darlington Railway and member of the Rail Heritage Steering Board, will put you in the picture about what progress has been made so far in preserving the heritage of the line and what is being planned for a wonderful ‘birthday party’ for the railway that changed the world by ushering in the modern railway age. For bookings please contact: Trish Pemberton, Chair, Friends of the Stockton and Darlington Railway on 01388 833229 or trish.pemberton@btconnect.com. Free event but donations welcome at the event, registered charity no: 1177252.
