Annual community festive fayre returns

A popular, annual event which includes crafts and stalls from local groups is being held at Bishop Auckland College.

The 2D Community Festive Fayre takes place on Saturday, 16th November from 10am until 2.30pm.

This year Santa will be accompanied by Mrs Tinsel and Ellie the ‘Chief Elf’ who will all be encouraging children to be on their best behaviour in the lead up to Christmas. Children are able to visit Santa (free of charge). Entertainment will also be provided by a balloon modeller, face painter and three rooms with free Christmas craft activities.

Organisers say this year’s event will have a greater selection of festive treats and gifts, entertainment and music with chances to find out about the range of services and opportunities in South Durham.

This year’s event will be incorporating Bishop Auckland & Shildon’s ‘Your Money, Your Views Forum Event’. The event has been held for 12 years, with over 1,700 attending last year.
