Big turnout for Ferryhill fireworks display

Ferryhill Town Council would like to say a huge thank you to everyone who came along and supported the Town’s Fireworks Display at Dean Bank Recreation Park on Monday, 5th November.

Approximately 2000 people attended the event which really brought the community of Ferryhill together. £220.00 was raised for the Mayors Charities; Little Treasures and the WI. Feedback following the event has been extremely positive and the Town Council is now looking to make the Fireworks Display an annual event.

The Town Council would also like to say a huge thank you to Stanley Events for co-ordinating the event, Councillor Joe Makepeace and the AAP, Kwik Cabs, Cutting Loose and everyone else who contributed and helped bring the event to fruition. Mayor of Ferryhill, Councillor David Farry said ‘For several years now residents of Ferryhill have continued to request that Ferryhill Town Council, like other neighbouring Councils, host its own Fireworks Display. Finally, the people of Ferryhill got there wish. Choreographed to music, the display was bigger and better than the Council could ever have expected. A huge thank you goes to everyone involved in making the event happen and to everyone who attended the event. The Town Council has received some lovely comments and lots of positive feedback following the event which is greatly appreciated.’
