Views sought on proposed PlayZone in Shildon

Residents in Shildon are being asked to give their views on a proposed PlayZone at Hackworth Park.

PlayZones aim to be a safe, welcoming and inclusive space for sport and physical activity. The proposed PlayZone would host more structured actitivies, such as classes.

Shildon Town Council and its partners are looking to hear residents’ views and thoughts on the proposals. The questionnaire asks respondents about what they value most from a sport facility in a park, how they would use the PlayZone and for comments and ideas. The feedback is essential to demonstrate the need for the facility.

The PlayZone will provide floodlights, bookable time for the community and a smart access system.
