Changes to local bus services

From Sunday 17th April, Arriva busses have made a number of changes to their services in County Durham. A lot of the changes are as a result of Durham County Council either reducing or withdrawing their funding for some supported bus services in County Durham. Some of the other services are being changed due to falling customer numbers on services that are provided without funding.

Some of the services affected include:

Changes now in effect to some local bus services

Service 3B/33: Bishop Auckland – Chilton – Hartlepool. Service to be withdrawn between Bishop Auckland and Ferryhill.

Service 5/5A: Bishop Auckland – Durham has been withdrawn and will only operate between Bishop Auckland and Darlington.

Service 6: A new service between Bishop Auckland and Durham.

Service 69: Bishop Auckland – Stockton. Service to be withdrawn.

Service 90: Bishop Auckland – Woodhouse Close. Service to be withdrawn.
