This Father’s Day the Big Boys Toys are coming to Weardale Railway.
Visitors will have a special opportunity to see the old vehicles which delivered the goods, put out fires and ran the bus services. An assorted collection of classic commercial vehicles no longer seen on the road will be on display in the car parks at Stanhope Station, bringing back memories of another era for the more mature visitor, and excitement for the youngsters. Viewing takes place from 10am-5.00 pm.
In addition to the display ‘Fathers go free’, so why not take your dad for a free ride on the steam train.
The Cafe will be open all day for light meals, drinks, home-made cakes, ice cream and confectionery and all sorts of souvenirs are available in the Gift shop.
