Local contracting firm supports hospice

Nine employees of a local company are to brave the heights of Middlesbrough Transporter Bridge when they take part in a bungee jump.

JDP Contracting are also raising funds for Butterwick Hospice Care with raffles and other fundraising events.

The bungee jump on Sunday, 1st March is part of a continued fundraising effort which they hope will raise £2,000 by the end of the year.

“We have nominated Butterwick Hospice as our Charity of the Year and are delighted to assist in whatever way we can to such a worthy cause,” said Chris Hyde, Managing Director of JDP Contracting.

Laura Douthwaite, Corporate Partnerships Executive said “It costs Butterwick Hospice Care over £4M a year to freely provide care to the local community and support from local businesses like JDP Contracting is essential to help fund this. It is fantastic to see all of the staff getting involved in such an amazing manner and look forward to working with them in the future.

The Newton Aycliffe firm recently installed a new kitchen at Coundon and Leeholme Community Centre as part of a community challenge.
